Got new coilovers put on. Big thanks goes out to Josh and his crew at Nothing Leaves Stock. I had him spin the rears all the way down. If you like to go low these will achieve that.

Measurements:
F- 23.75"
R- 22.50

Raised the rears an 1" and now it feels a lot better. Stiffer than stock but very drivable.

BlownEuros GTG

Went to my first large GTG. It was awesome. All generations represented well. I believe I was one of four MKV R's.

Oh my baby is all fixed, except for a few minor interior things that need fixing. Also got my summer tires back on. Winter is fun but spring is nicer.

The R goes in for some surgery

Well today was the day I dropped my R for the repairs that were done on 11/18/07. Took a while for parts to be ordered. It was hard to see the R have to stay at the body shop. Only have to wait a week, thank heavens. Will post pics when its done.

Broke 10,000 miles

Broke the magical number. She's running better than ever. You can really feel her pull a lot more. Can't wait for the Evoms intake!

First Fender Bender

Well it had to happen, my first fender bender. I wasn't even in the car. My friend's uncle backed up into the car. He dented the driver door and the left rear panel. It looks like She's going to need lots of bodywork. Not good.

TFT Philly and Flyers Game

Went into Philly today for the Toys for Tots GTG in FDR park. After the GTG went to see the Flyers and Penguins game. It was an overall great day!
Also changed out my wheels from the OZ's to BBS CHs.

New stuff put on.

I had H&R coilover, Milltek Catback exhaust, and Haldex Gen II controller put on today. Gotta thank Josh at Nothing Leaves Stock in Coopersburg, PA. The crew over there was cool and they help a newbie like me. Driving is now a whole new experience. Need to get an alignment and all will be set. Yeah!

First Oil change

Hit 5000 miles the other day. J. Bertolet in Orwigsburg, PA handled the oil change and tire rotation. Service was great. The R feels a lot better. Smoother shifts + Better acceleration = More fun!!!!

Vag Com

Finally got a vag com interface. Cool things to do with vag com:

disable drls
coming home
leaving home
inner halogens on for flash to pass and high beams
open/close windows w/ remote
rain closing function
disabled seatbelt & door chime
disabled horn when lock/unlock

First scratch!

On the way to a friends house, following a truck, a rock kicked up and gashed the front bumper under the right headlight. Saw it as i ws changing out my clear sidemarkers for smoked ones.

New mods and milestone

Got clear sidemarkers on the new R. Planned to do the flapper mod, but when I was under the car I saw that the tube was already out. Flapper mod complete!

First Milestone

Reached 1000 miles after work. A trip to VA to visit Jeremy, Amanda, and Ben; also a trip to Newark Airport to pick Jess and Dave should take care of those pesky break-in miles. Hopefully I did it ok. I tried to take it a litlle easy, but couldn't resist to have a little fun. She's sounding really good now!!!!!

R32 almost built

Found out from Brendan at Boardwalk Volkswagen in Redwood City: "Your commision number is Y89352, production stock, ETA 6/12. It will be finished being built soon!"
The waiting is unbearable. Almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Ordered UG R32

Went to J. Bertolet to pre-order my UG R32. Dave Mengel was very helpful. Now I have to wait patiently for 6 more months. The agony!!!!!!!
